September is one of my favorite times of the year to shoot. Not only have the evening thunderstorms cleared out a bit (making for fewer reschedules) but the light is so crisp and clean, a photographers dream! For Cori’s shoot, we used one of my new favorite locations. It has lots of variety and such beautiful light, and I definitely have fallen in love with the way these turned out. If you’re looking to incorporate aspen into your shoot this is a perfect location to do it.
Totally loved working with Ali and her mom. They were just the sweetest, down-to-earth kind of ladies I like to be around. We originally planned to photograph Ali’s senior pictures up near Echo Lake but unfortunately a cold snap at the end of September made that option too chilly. Even though we didn’t get to shoot at our chosen location, I’m in love with how these turned out and the locations ended up working beautifully with Ali’s clothing choices. Hope you enjoy scrolling through this beauty’s senior session.
I’m so happy with how Shyanne’s senior portraits turned out. It was such a beautiful September day for senior pictures, and we used one of my all-time favorite locations, and this session definitely ended up being one of my favorites all year. Shyanne managed to look perfect in spite of that fact that we hiked quite a bit during her session. I always love it when my seniors are up for a little adventure. This senior also did a wonderful job of choosing some beautiful colors that are universally complimentary to skin tones as well, something that is so important when you’re thinking about wardrobe for your senior or family session.
We had to reschedule a few times but Rocky Mountain National Park ended up being the perfect backdrop for the most peaceful evening shooting with Hailey for her senior portraits. And so worth the drive from Colorado Springs! Especially loved the ones we captured during my favorite time of the day: dusk. At the end of the session it was so quiet that birds singing down in the valley could be heard from our spot up on the ridge. Such a perfect way to end a beautiful session and a big reason I love what I do so much. Hope you enjoy these images as much as we enjoyed capturing them.
We shot Sydney’s senior portraits on a beautiful July evening near Old Colorado City. I had so much fun wandering around with Sydney and her mom and sisters! We found some really beautiful little patches of light and I love how these turned out. After spending a while shooting near downtown, we moved locations to get a more natural feel.
I am finally getting around to blogging this session. We had such a stormy July and had to keep rescheduling Jada’s senior portraits, pretty much driving us all crazy! Anyway, this is such a beautiful and unique location, I think it was totally worth the wait! I really enjoyed shooting (and chatting about the jackrabbits) with sweet Jada and her mom on this lovely evening.
